You’ll participate in a team exercise for developing a PICO question, learn about live Internet search strategies, and discuss a case exemplar from the frontlines.
Objectives1. Identify five steps of the evidence-based practice process, with emphasis on the actual development of a current clinical question: the Patient-Intervention-Comparison-Outcome (PICO-T) question.
2. Develop and apply strategies for conducting literature searches for quality information on evidence-based practice and other databases.
3. Explain two key strategies for successful implementation of evidence-based practice in the clinical setting.
