How is hypnosis being used at the Stanford University Medical Center and in other institutions? Watch as a certified hypnotherapist teaches you a simple hypnotic technique to reduce your stress and calm your patients. She’ll even give you the chance to experience hypnosis while you’re in the session. Regardless of whether you volunteer, you’ll hear about the benefits of hypnosis, including increased quality of life, pain mitigation, anxiety reduction, and comfort before surgery and other procedures.

Objectives
1. Utilize a simple self-hypnotic technique to lower self-stress and soothe anxious patients.
2. Distinguish between hypnosis, guided imagery, and medication.
3. Evaluate the research on the use of hypnosis with cancer patients.
